  Where do I begin but the beginning, upon walking into the shop I wasn't greeted nor my bride-to-be with a smile or even a hello ... wouldn't even make eye contact and tried to pretend that me, the bride and another bridesmaid weren't even there , I'm outspoken and said HI we had a appointment here today! Then We got a lax and very strained service , its like we're a inconvenience just being there at all...::
  Then when the bride said she wanted a country style for the gown the assistant is grabbing dresses that had huge frumpy folds and not like the bride even described when she said no she didn't like them , the woman proceeds to push and say oh well that's all we can do for you as ordering anything else would need like 5 months what the hell! (FYI you are not the only shop on earth or in Newcastle for that fact and if you can't supply a dress in a shorter time like 5 - 6 weeks then your a joke!) the dresses you tried to press on her were the most hideous things I've ever seen and felt like the snickering and laughing from Elise and the one hiding in the back sticking out her head and back in was unprofessional just being nicely put!
  I cant recommend Shazzam in Toronto any higher as we are talking night and day here for service and professionalism, with The Ivory Lounge being the dark of night being all dirty and dingy like a crack house with filthy walls in the try on rooms and dust bunnies chasing you around the shop to the light of a sunny day being Shazzam formal wear!!!!
  Then come The brides Dress she picked out and lay-bys she was pushed to lay-by straight away push push push weather she was certain or not push push push oh we have someone interested in that and blah and oh the price might change blah when it's on a end of line sale rack meaning they aren't made or sold no more so why would the price go up when you have it on sale to get it out the shop...such LIES all of it!!
  It was the last one in the store on the floor of its kind and apparently BRAND new , it had a few marks on it that looked like coffee and foundation but we were assured it was easily fixed she puts the deposit on the dress $400 and when I went to get a photo of her for her sick mother in the dress so she could see it I was told off and scalded saying that photos weren't even allowed until it was paid for! like what the hell we had no other issue other then the few marks on the dress until we come there today to make final payment and do a final fitting , the dress has been in the damn shop not worn nothing but somehow has beading ripped off the back and torn apart lace This was discovered when taken to the seamstress she found everything, torn lace on the back torn at the zip my brides a petite little 8 nothing of her and her dress has been tried on by some whale and torn it wasn't ripped or torn the day it was put on lay-by and now we pick it up today and it's torn in places that I never even thought possible!
  To say im disappointed with that isn't even close to the amount of irritation and pissed off that I am as I've had to watch my beautiful best friend go from so excited for the experience of being a bride fussed over in the bridal shop to have it dulled by the joke that is The Ivory Lounge , I am the worst person you will ever come across I never shut up and i never forget , anytime I see someone asking for recommendations I'll be recommending they steer well clear of this abomination that you call a bridal shop!
  I will tell them all with clarity every time forgetting not one part of the details of disgusting service or shoddy terms of lay-by where the dress is apparently used for others to try on for what bloody reason I don't know ... why would you let people try on a product that's sold to someone and have them ruin the dress with foundation and rip it!
