I have been a member for 30 years +, since leaving the workforce I remained in the fund principally for the Death and Terminal Illness policy.
Coinciding with the changed fund name my premium increased by 100% - the reason given was that the TPD ( Total perm Disablement) claims had increased dramatically.
I don"t have TPD insurance and thus far the Fund has given no reasonable reason (that has logic or integrity) for the increase in DTI.
They have instead, invited me to take my complaint to the SCT ( super complaints Tribunal) and this I will do.
This is a money grabbing exercise by the insurer and Fund management alike.
